Expressions Of “Unfeigned Love”
By Love Unfeigned: Unfeigned love is pure love that occurs between people without romantic attraction. The type of LOVE discusses through this platform is Unfeigned love or Agape love. 2nd Corinthians 6:6 says “By pureness, by knowledge, by Long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by Love unfeigned” (KJV). As I read this verse, “Unfeigned love” attracted my attention and amplified loudly in my heart. Unfeigned love means loving others without hypocrisy, acting, pretending, or with an aim for a selfish interest. 1 John 4:21 KJV explains the truth about unfeigned love; “he who loveth God loves his brother also.” Which means to love God you must love your brothers, sisters, neighbors, people connected or related to you in any form. Love Unfeigned is most needed in a time like this. Unfeigned love characteristics can only be developed through the love of Jesus Christ.
Does anyone believe unfeigned love exists among people? Most love actions are feigned love. Feigned love is a counterfeit or hypocritical love, which is fake love or insincere love. True love is a manifestation of genuine, authentic love towards a person or people. The Bible says to love God is more than to know him. God loves those who genuinely love others as themselves. Though some people may be difficult to love, such difficulties can be overcome by recognizing there is no perfect person on earth. The world is not perfect either. Every one of us has a trait or traits of imperfection in us.
Manifestation of unfeigned love reveals the level of love a person has for God. Whether a person is a true or hypocritical Christian, “By their fruit you shall know them.” LOVE is what determines love for God and faith in Jesus Christ. According to 1 John 4:20. “If a man says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?” Therefore, anyone that hates someone created in God’s image does not know the true God. ” Every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God.” (1 John 4:7,8) (KJV)
History has revealed lack of love is the major source of problems all over the Globe. Problems starting from friends, families, relations, communities, work places, schools etc. are as a result of lack of unfeigned love. Most of the problems in the world can be eschewed or resolved if authentic or unfeigned love exists among people of all categories, tribes, nations, and all circles of sphere. Loving and knowing God is one and cannot be separated from each other. Think about this for a moment; knowing God without a pure love for people is vain and pointless. How can God be pleased; If people hate others, instigates or initiates pains, spoils, harms or hinders someone made in God’s Image? Characteristics of a true God is sincere and real love. God’s children must manifest their maker’s character. The Bible says” “He who lacks pure love for a friend, family or brethren is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.”
For example, people who manifest unfeigned love or agape Love or willful or pure love will always be happy when a friend or family member or others are happy. While people without unfeigned love may feel sad because of another person’s achievement. A person without unfeigned love may be happy to hear negative reports about others. Such people delight to hear about other people’s wrong doing rather than what they did right. That kind of feeling is feigned love not unfeigned love. A person that has Agape love or Spirit of Christ will rather pray on behalf of others and urge to help instead of rejoicing for their misfortune. Evidence of unfeigned, pure, or undefiled love is to feel for others as you would feel for yourself in such a situation.
Knowing and accepting Jesus as LORD and SAVIOR is by Faith: Exercising sincere love for others can be by faith too. It does not mean a person should force his or her love on others or keep on accepting hate in return for love. One of the lesson thought by Christ is “dust off your feet” “And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.”(Matthew 10:14 KJV) Love those who welcomed your love and keep off from those using your loving nature as a weakness against you. May the LORD grant all a compassionate heart and spirit of empathy toward others In Jesus Name.
Good write up on the concept of love. It focuses deeply on the meaning of love. Love overs all things as the Bible say. John 3:16 is that perfect love that Christ gave to us hallelujah! This writeup is a blessing. Thank you.
