One Thing I Know

April 3rd, 2021

This story conveys remarkable questions and brilliant responses from the Bible. As Jesus went about doing good works, he saw a man blind from birth. The Bible call the blind man whose eye was opened by Jesus “Blind Man”  “The disciples asked Jesus if the blindness was as a result of the blind man’s sin or the sins of his parents, “Jesus answered, ” Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him” (John 9:3 KJV).

“The Blind Man’s neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, ‘Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?’ The man responded to their questions “He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.” John 9:11 ( KJV) Some of the people that knew him to be blind from birth were confused if he was the same man. Some of them doubted if he was the same man that was born blind. Some questioned him and his parents. if the blind man’s eye was restored and who restored the blind’s eye.

They asked him many questions; such as “how was your eye opened? The man that was blind and now sees answered them “’The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eye. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So, I went and washed, and then I could see.’ They asked the blind man’s parents how did your son receive sight. The parents were afraid and said he is an adult and asked him. The “Blind Man” answered them again “Jesus put mud on my eyes and said go wash in a pool and I did, now I can see” They challenged him and his parents with more questions, some said, “This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.’ But others asked, ‘How can a sinner perform such signs?’ So, they were divided.

It is interesting to read how bewildered the people were. “The blind Man” answered all the questions brilliantly. Here is a man: “Blind Man “who had no knowledge of the words of God and has never encounter Christ. That was the first time he met with Jesus. The Bible says, as Jesus passed by, he saw the man called blind man and moved with compassion and healed his blindness. This is one of inspiring stories in the Bible. For better comprehension read John chapter Nine. So much confusion in the world. This remarkable story shows a high level of confusion among men. Though they asked the man to give glory to God, they also told him Jesus is a sinner. However, the brilliant Blind Man answered their question with boldness and integrity. Boldness and integrity are much needed today. Boldness to stand for firm and hold on to the truth. The Blind Man confidently responded to the Interrogators: “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!’ (John 9;25)

One Thing I Do Know: This message is a message of encouragement. Believe and trust Jesus Christ, even if you have not seen Christ, heard of Jesus, or acknowledged Jesus Christ. Jesus died for the iniquities of the world, he became a substitution for the guilt and bear the cross for many. Christ continuously transforming and granting salvation people. The man whose eye was opened didn’t knew much about Jesus Christ but he confidently declared to the Neighbors, Pharisees and the Interrogators `ONE THING I DO KNOW, I was blind, now I see” (John 9:25) One thing I know, I believe and declare today; Jesus Christ died to give freedom and keep alive, to free the quit, to bear the consequence of sins and give salvation and abundant life to many people.

 Happy Resurrection Sunday!!!
